Hello! I’m Cath and I’m the founder of MAKE a Market, an independent makers and creatives market currently based in Brighton, UK.

As an independent jeweller myself, I launched MAKE after moving to Brighton in 2025. I was inspired by the incredible concentration of talented artists and makers here and wanted to create a community-led space where they could connect, showcase their work, and engage directly with the people around them.

The aim of MAKE is to champion independent artists, designers and small businesses, creating a platform where emerging and established makers can thrive side by side. From handmade goods and original artwork to sustainable design and one-of-a-kind pieces, every stall is carefully selected to reflect quality, originality and heart.

At its core, MAKE is about more than shopping; it’s about meeting the maker, discovering something meaningful, and supporting independent creativity in a welcoming, vibrant environment.
